Hiwi the Kiwi

Walt: Narrate a story about Kai Moana that teaches others things we need to remember
When you go fishing and you catch a fish it has to be 30 centimeters. If it is longer you have to put it back in the water because it can probably be the mummy fish or the daddy fish. If you put it back in the water make sure you pick it up with a wet towel because if you pick it up with a dry towel or your hands their skin codes come of. The songs we learnt was “Kai Moana” and “Pukeko Echo”. It was a really fun song to learn because we got to stand up and have a dance. But if we did dance we would have to sing along with the song to.

They would give us questions and we would have to answer them. For Example: They would say “Kia Moana food from the”? We would put our hand up and we would sing the song. “Kia Moana food from the sea”. If we get it right we get a poster and a sticker. They would say well done. They were from the country. But when they were singing they sounded like they were from the country

The last thing they taught us was how to go fishing and how to catch the right size fish. They said who wants to win the Hiwi Kiwi fishing rod. Everyone was shouting Me! Me! Me!

He  said if you have one of the best story you will win the fishing rod.

The best Holiday Ever

In the holiday’s I went to my nana’s house. I stayed over there for a week and 5 days. It was so cool because we got to do anything our nana said. Her name is Marisa and my papa's name is Bryan. My nana said if you are hungry just go in the cubed and grab something to eat or make you a cup of tea or Milo. I asked her if she wanted anything to eat or drink but she said no thank you.

When we went to church we got to play a little bit of basketball and played roly poly with the dogs. There names are Sophie and Wuppy. They are sisters Sophie is a Jack Russell and Wuppy is a Pit ball. Sometimes they fight over toys. Over the holidays we went places. We had heaps and heaps of fun.

Olympic History

Walt: Explain the history of the Olympic games

Do you know about the Ancient Olympic Games? It started in 776 BC in Olympic, Greece. When the games ended a French man started the Modern Olympics in 1896. In 1900 is when they allowed women to compete in the Olympic games. There were nine different sport like athletics, swimming, javelin, cycling and others.

Now there are many different kind of sports like: Tennis, Javelin, Weight Lifting, Cycling, Swimming, Running, Chariot Racing, Boxing, Wrestling and many other things. IOC stands for International Olympics Committee, they are the organisers and governing body of the Olympics. In 1936 is the very first time they put the Olympics on the television.

This year the Olympics will be held in Rio, Brazil. I'm really excited because I can watch them on T.V doing different events.
